Benicassim

Benicassim Festival 2024

Who would you like to see playing at Benicassim this year?

December 30, 2009 By admin 206 Comments

Ok, so this is the part that makes or breaks most festivals, the line-up… Benicassim has much more to offer than a fanastic music line-up – sun, sand, sea, arts, film, beautiful town centre, walks, sports and much more besides.  However, music is still a core component of the festival.  We want to know which bands, groups and artists you’d like to see perform at Benicassim 2010.  So please don’t hold back, tell us who has rocked your world in previous years and who left you a bit dissappointed, just leave a comment below and we’ll see who you want to appear in 2010!

Keep checking the line-up pages for the latest band announcements as and when they happen – first acts announced today (Thurs 28th Jan 2010 – further announcements coming soon).

  32. kareem says

    May 19, 2010 at 1:44 am

well i just counted the number of bands playing…and on the website it says there are 100 acts to be announced?

  33. tin145 says

    May 18, 2010 at 9:03 pm

I’m thinking the main 3 acts that would be awesome and quite possible to take the Friday headlining spot are Muse, Faithless and Fatboy Slim.
Eminem would be absolutely crazy but unlikely ;( and someone like deadmau5 or sub focus would be a brilliant announcement too.
Either way, someone needs to knock Vampire Weekend down a few notches, there’s no way they can be headlining!

Also, kareem, where are you finding this information – is there literally only 13 acts left to be announced?

  34. Or are we dancers? says

    May 18, 2010 at 1:59 pm

    …it could happen…

  36. kareem says

    May 16, 2010 at 1:37 pm

I hope im right as well but its benicassims 15th year running i don’t think they would drop so low to have vampire weekend headlining when you have huge bands like kasabian, prodigy and gorillaz playing. It just doesnt make sense if they are headlining? Even know they are headlining latitude…but latitude is a small festival and benicassim is know for having amazing headliners!

Please be either Muse, Jay Z or Metallica lol

  37. kareem says

    May 16, 2010 at 1:33 pm

@ john nytra they didnt put gorillaz up first….?

  43. Jonny Nytra says

    May 15, 2010 at 9:15 pm

    Woops, I meant glastonbury sorry.

and nah, don’t get your hopes up. Putting the best bands on first makes marketing sense – they’ll sell tickets faster. They wouldn’t wait until a month before and then release some big guns. If they don’t sell out, it’ll be embarrassing. But i think it’d be understandable, lineups a bit T4 on the beach this year haha.

luckily itll be friggin awesome good bands or not.

  44. kareem says

    May 15, 2010 at 4:35 pm

vampire weeknd aren’t playing reading…and i think they might of just put them there for now to get everyone upset about it then they will release another bigger act there is still 13 more bands to be announced

  45. Jonny Nytra says

    May 14, 2010 at 9:10 pm

No days stand out to me. Pretty average bands
Vampire weekend should definitely not be headlining, they’re not good enough. they’re playing at reading and such and not considered even supporters of the headliner

  46. Alex says

    May 14, 2010 at 1:27 pm

MGMT, FAT BOY SLIM, KINGS OF LEON,JUSTICE,STEVE AOKI.

Would HATE to see: Green Day (sooooo past-it now; they’ve become a caricature of themselves – embarrassing!!), nonsense like Paul Weller, Robert Plant, Squeeze, U2, Madness, etc (ie, the kind of mainstream crap that seems to have infected Glastonbury), Snow Patrol, Coldplay, or RHCP (just SO bad live!!). Would love to see 2 Many DJs again in 2010.. Saw them at Beni 2009 and they absolutely rocked the show.

I wonder if Kings of Leon will make a surprise appearance in 2010 seeing as how they bottled it in 2009 – I’ve seen stronger winds after I fart, honestly.
