The XX – Saw them at Bestival the year before last and they were incredible, such a must have for any festival.

The Paper Kites – Just, perfection in music form. Not a single bad song to their name and would be the perfect sunset act. I’d feel like I’d died and gone to heaven…

    The Temper Trap……..
Because I have listened to their album every day now for months and it still sends shivers down my spine and helps me get through the day….. getting on the busy tube every day, when i hear the final chorus of Love Lost I feel like i could scream and shout and run down the platform……

…. Now imagine that in a field full of people, with the stage lights half blinding you, too busy to even move, the smell of fresh sweat and holding onto a complete stranger next to you to keep up with your arm in the air and the feeling of complete freedom as you scream the high notes…..

… Plus they arnt touring in England any time soon and I am DESPERATE to see them… so sort it out please!!!!

Interpol would be the icing on the cake to this line-up. Morrissey is always at his best at a gig such as this. He would be totally awesome. If puressence played, i’d think i’d died and gone to heaven. I just wish somebody would recognise the brilliance of this band and give them the recognition they deserve.

i forgot some more main streamers

Foals, just brilliant brialliant band, noone else quite as good in my opinion, the ideas behind the whole thing are really clever, unique and really well executed.

Enter shikari, been dying to seen them again recently. must have seen these guys 6 maybe 7 times and i promise you, they NEVER dissapoint. i understand if metal isnt the vibe and i would be cool if they werent even thought of twice but i really think if they played people would really get into it

    cheers again, Ross

  129. Ross says

Three trapped tigers, because they are just…… phenomenal. weirdest but greatest sounds, they just make sounds and ideas sound like noone else can. relatively small aswell (so they could be easy to book *wink wink) and they definitely definitely DEFINITELY deserve the attention.

also Flash guns, again really great band, reaaaaally great live, great tunes, great atmosphere. again not big but defintely deserve to be.

Gold Panda, most relaxing sounds ever created, got to be. great DJ, amazing ideas

those are my 3 choices and god knows if these acts turned up they would play some damn good music, everyone would be guaranteed to have a good time and it would make my year

Glad to see Mumford and Sons have been added to the line-up. They are incredible live, saw them at Reading last year and it was definitely one of my best live experiences ever.

I would really like to see Ed Sheeran on the line up, he’s an incredibly talented newcomer who is going to be absolutely massive this year, and his collaborations EP is immense. He manages to span such a variety of genres, and yet retain an individual sound.

I’d like to see some Grime on the line-up as well, a bit of Devlin, Skepta, JME, any one of those would bring something great to the festival. Maybe chuck in some Deadmau5, Pendulum or The Prodigy. Have seen them all live, nearly died in the mosh pits but the atmosphere was electric! You need something to go mental to.

  137. ConorT says

    January 24, 2011 at 5:52 pm

Enter Shikari would be a cool choice. Mix it up with the already quite simular genre line-up to have a bit of diversity!
I know The Prodigy played the other year but after every act I’ve seen they have been the most entertaining and awesome act to see!
And I think we need some heavy pop punk with A Day to Remember, that would be so wicked to have.

  138. Tin145 says

    January 24, 2011 at 4:54 pm

Mumford & Sons, The Streets, amongst others have been announced.

A final headliner like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blink-182, Kings of Leon, Coldplay, Queens of the Stone Age, The Chemical Brothers, Muse, Daft Punk, Radiohead, Linkin Park, Foo Fighters would make the festival MASSIVE.

The xx, Florence + the Machine, Biffy Clryo, Chase & Status, Deadmau5 etc. are acts that seem fairly highly demanded and would fit the festival very well. Just a thought…

I’d absolutely LOVE to see Daft Punk, The Chemical Brothers, MSTRKRFT, Digitalism, Magnetic Man oh there’s so many electronic acts!!!

Please balance the rock acts with more of the dance ones!!! I hate indie rock!!!

  140. HÆZ says

    January 24, 2011 at 11:46 am

Bonobo – Put him on in the evening and you’ve got yourself a chill-out zone composed of amazing sounds and beats.

The Prodigy – RAVE IS KING

    QOTSA – Because, QOTSA.

Radiohead – No explanation needed either.

Mr. Oizo – You want people to remember Benicassim as the festival that pushes boundaries? Do you want people to dance hardcore? Get Oizo.

James Blake/Pariah – Both are UK DJs/producers on R&S Records mixing a whole range of electronic styles like house, dubstep. The first I would recommend for his classical training, ambient sounds and lush atmospheres created by his music, plus he’s all the rage ATM in the UK. The second I would recommend for banging tunes and amazing live sets & mixes.

dEUS – The godfathers of modern Belgian music. Great live act with songs ranging from calm and soulful to engaging and loud.

Ghinzu – Most underestimated, underrated band, ever. Great live intensity, lots of beautiful chaos to be had with these guys.

  141. Caio says

FOALS – they’re simply amazing, another year with’em would be perfect
JONQUIL – another oxford band, which i love, and would love to see them live in Benicàssim
Franz Ferdinand – no explanations needed
    GROUPLOVE – amazing american band!!
The XX – Never seen them live, benicàssim would be the best festival ever with them.

But I’m really happy to see arctic monkeys on benicassim.

NITIN SAWHNEY – an absolute must have, no explanation needed. With this guy your festival will be complete!

DIRTYLOUD – amazing electro-house production, will have everyone dancing. (any one else from Big Fish Recordings would also go down a treat)

OTT – perhaps one of the best in dub/minimal goa production, amazing producer and person.

EMANCIPATOR (douglas adams) – outstanding downtempo/electronic dance music incredible producer.

BONOBO – One of the best and most popular electronic/dance producers of this era. A must have for a festival!!

For drum and bass look no further than the artists of Critical Music, outstanding number of producers ranging from minimal to jungle and dubstep. Artists include KASRA, SYNKRO, CALIBRE, STRAY, ROCKWELL, BREAKAGE.

MR SCRUFF – Arguably the best DJ in all of the UK, capable of mixing almost any style of music, has every one in the festival grooving to his tunes. Another must have for a festival.

Anyone from either HOSPITAL RECORDS or MED SCHOOL RECORDS – two of the most popular labels in electronic music in the UK, incredible production from all styles of music including artists such as BOP, SYNKRO, DANNY BYRD, CYANTIFIC, NU:TONE, NETSKY, UNQUOTE, ICICLE, S.P.Y.

BURIAL – Incredible minimal dubstep, extremely popular producer, astounding music and DJing

JAMES BLAKE – amazing minimal dubstep production and djing, very popular as of late

I would love to see Kasabian. They played live in Dublin
there a few months ago and I was shocked to see how well they
performed. the only ticket I could get my hands on was a seating
ticket, which isn’t usual for me, and it was one of the best gigs
I’ve been to in my life and I’ve seen the Rolling Stones and Bruce
Springsteen. Another act I would love to see is Muse. They played
Sziget last year and, same as Kasabian, shocked me with their
performance. I only went to see Muse as my girlfriend likes them, I
liked them a bit, but was the best performance I saw the whole
festival. they are well known for their live acts so this should be
deeply thought about. Another small suggestion, Airbourn,
    BOOM!!!
