Good Restaurants & Places to Eat in Benicassim

Eating well in Benicassim is one of the great pleasures of the festival experience. Here are our picks.

The Best Places to Eat in Benicassim

Benicassim town has a solid selection of restaurants and bars, and the quality of food is generally high - this is Spain, after all, and the local produce is excellent. The festival format (stages running late evening into the early hours) means you have plenty of time during the day to explore the town’s restaurants properly.

La Manduca on Calle Dolors is one of the most consistently recommended restaurants among returning festival-goers. The salmon pizza is a crowd favourite and worth ordering even if it sounds unusual. The paella is excellent and reasonably priced by local standards. It can get busy on festival days, so book ahead or arrive early.

For breakfast, there is a café on Carrer Dels Dolors with distinctive orange furniture that has become something of a festival institution. A full breakfast here costs around €8 and is a great way to start the day before heading to the beach. The coffee is strong and the pastries are fresh.

The promenade and beach area has a good selection of chiringuitos (beach bars) serving fresh seafood, cold drinks and tapas. These are ideal for a long, relaxed lunch before the evening programme begins.
